As an emerging nation with great potential, Peru has a vital need for low-cost single-family housing.  It is our vision to build affordable housing that will create sustainable local business, bring prosperity to communities and allow families to become self-reliant.  The following is a preliminary proposal for that project.
 
AS FUTURE HOUSING … DOMES have been around for more than 30 years… they are in 48 states and 40 countries, withstanding earthquakes, hurricanes, fire and time. Domes are amazing!  They are easy to maintain, versatile and nearly indestructible.  They are gentle on the environment and take little to heat or cool.  Until recently Domes were built almost exclusively as high-end housing for those who could afford the very best and appreciate the Dome’s environmental qualities, low maintenance and security.

NEW TECHNIQUES make it possible today for the once exclusive Dome to be built quickly and cheaply. The same qualities that made the Dome the choice of high-end buyers is now available for the poorest people of the world.
 
REBECCA SOUTH  co-founder and director of Domes for the World.  This non-profit foundation is dedicated to providing solutions for housing in third-world countries.  Her roots run deep with knowledge and experience. Rebecca is acutely aware of the deplorable housing conditions in much of the world, often compounded by devastation from hurricanes, tornados and earthquakes. Rebecca goal is to change that reality one house at a time.
 
THE BASIC DOME can be built for under $6,000 in six days, it is easy to maintain and consumes little energy.  Domes are adaptable to cultural needs, durable and have minimal environmental impact. Construction time is short, materials are readily available and the use of unskilled local labor benefits the most needful members of the community.  When infrastructure and community costs are included a completed dome is about one-third the price of the average home in Peru.
 
This is a BOOT STRAP PROJECT, helping Peruvians to help themselves while encouraging Free Enterprise and Capitalism.  We will leave more behind than just homes. We envision a synergistic relationship between private enterprise and Domes for the World. 

Our vision is to facilitate local companies who participate in a two year mentoring program, so that our first project becomes the seed for continued projects eventually leading to 10’s and then 100’s of communities housing countless numbers of grateful families.
 
THE PROJECT BEGINS by shipping some basic equipment from the United States.  This will be left behind at the end of construction, allowing local companies to continue building homes in Peru.  These businesses will prosper with mentoring from organizations like Ascend Alliance and Rotary International.  A portion of the proceeds will return to Ascend Alliance allowing them to further their clean water and micro franchising programs.
 
INVESTORS … Domes for the World PERU is seeking social investors.. individuals and socially minded companies who share our vision of providing affordable housing for the world and are willing to participate with us in this exciting project.  Investment funds will be returned in full as the Peruvian Government provides innovative loan programs and guaranteed funding to end buyers. 
 
COMMUNITIES will be designed in the Peruvian tradition with parks for playing and socializing on warm evenings and  in-home ‘tiendas’ where baked goods and other necessities are sold.  The design will accommodate in-home service businesses like seamstress services and hair salons. Each community will include a school, church, medical clinic and other civic buildings as size dictates.
 
DOMES for the WORLD PERU builds FUTURE Communities that will stand for generations. They unique, beautiful and functional.  Whatever the needs of the people, Domes can be designed to accommodate them.  From storage to outdoor gardens, and from clinics to concerts, DOMES can accommodate local needs.
 
DOME CONSTRUCTION is simple. There is a cement foundation, followed by a re-usable inflated Balloon called an Airform.  The final finish is 2-3 inches of cement troweled inside and out.  Labor and materials are available locally and inexpensively. An experienced construction supervisor with working drawings is all that is necessary
 
INVESTMENT FUNDS stay in the community in the form or labor and materials, strengthening the economics of the area.  Dome communities have proven successful as they raise the living standards of all who participate.  A community of 200 homes with take-out financing of $10,000 per home would bring nearly two million dollars to the community,  supplying jobs and housing and leaving behind self-sustaining businesses.  The project then returns the start-up capital to the investor and provides seed money for the next project… a win/win relationship.  
 
TIME … the development goes up quickly.  It takes six days to complete one home with local labor.   A project of 400-500 homes could take less than nine months and employ up to 300 locals for most of that time.
 
FUTURE HOMEOWNERS … It is our intention to employ many of our community’s future homeowners.  Their new skills will give them a hand-up, the potential to be employed in a future project and ownership in their new home and community.
 
OUR MISSION  is to bring affordable housing to the working people of PERU through the building of high efficiency Dome Homes … and to transfer the technology of Dome building to local individuals creating sustainable business and perpetuating home ownership.

CASAS CÚPULAS  ¡son increíbles! Son fáciles de mantener, versátiles y casi indestructibles. No dañan el medio ambiente y son fáciles de calentar o enfriar. Hasta hace poco CASAS CÚPULAS  se construyeron casi exclusivamente como viviendas para la alta sociedad, para  los que pueden permitirse los mejores lujos y saben apreciar el medio ambiente, la calidad de las Cúpulas, el bajo mantenimiento y la seguridad.

NUEVAS TÉCNICAS que CASAS CÚPULAS  han desarrollado hacen posible hoy en día construir en forma exclusiva, rápida y económica. Las mismas cualidades que hicieron de las CASAS CÚPULAS  la elección de compradores de la alta sociedad  y ahora disponible para las personas más pobres del mundo.

Sus raíces son profundas con conocimientos y experiencia. Rebecca es muy consciente de las deplorables condiciones de vivienda en gran parte del mundo, a menudo agravada por la devastación de los huracanes, tornados y terremotos. La Construcción es en corto tiempo, los materiales son fácilmente disponibles y la utilización de la mano de mano de obra local beneficiaria a la mayoría de los miembros mas necesitados de la comunidad. Cuando los costos de la infraestructura y la comunidad están incluidos,  una CASA CÚPULA  completa cuesta alrededor de un tercio del precio de la casa promedio en el Perú.

Este es un PROYECTO DE AUTOSUFICIENCUA, donde los peruanos podrán darse la mano entre si, fomentando la Libre Empresa y el capitalismo. Dejaremos atrás más que simplemente hogares. Imaginamos una relación sinérgica entre la empresa privada y DOMES FOR THE WORLD

Nuestra visión es facilitar que las compañías locales participen en un período de dos años como un programa de mentores, de modo que nuestro primer proyecto se convierte en la semilla para continuar proyectos eventualmente liderando 10 y después 100 viviendas en comunidades de innumerables familias.

EL PROYECTO COMIENZA enviando algunos equipos básicos desde los Estados Unidos. Esto será dejado hasta el final de la construcción, lo que permite a las empresas locales a continuar la construcción de viviendas en el Perú. Estas empresas prosperarán con la tutoría de organizaciones como ASCEND ALLIANCE y ROTARY INTERNATIONAL. Una parte del producto volverá a ASCEND ALLIANCE  que les permitirá seguir sus proyectos de Agua potable y programas de micro franquicias.

INVERSORES... DOMES for the WORLD PERU esta en la búsqueda de inversionistas sociales... individuales y empresas que socialmente comparten nuestra visión de ofrecer precios asequibles de viviendas en el mundo y están dispuestos a participar con nosotros en este emocionante proyecto. Los fondos de inversión serán devueltos en su totalidad como el Gobierno peruano ofrece innovadores programas de préstamos y la garantía de financiación para poner fin a los compradores.

COMUNIDADES serán diseñadas con la tradición peruana con jardines y parques para jugar, sociabilizar en las cálidas noches y en el hogar; "tiendas" donde productos de panadería y otros artículos de primera necesidad se venden. El diseño tendrá en cuenta servicios de empresas de servicios como sastrerías, salones de belleza etc. En cada comunidad se incluyen una escuela, iglesia, clínica médica y otros edificios cívicos que son requeridos dentro de una comunidad.

DOMES for the WORLD PERU construye Comunidades FUTURAS que duraran por generaciones. Son únicas, bellas y funcionales. Cualesquiera que sean las necesidades de los personas, CASAS CÚPULAS pueden ser diseñadas para adaptarse a sus necesidades. Desde almacenamiento hasta jardines al aire libre, y desde clínicas hasta conciertos, CASAS CÚPULAS pueden acomodar a las necesidades locales.

LA CONSTRUCCIÓN es simple. Hay una base de cemento, seguido por un globo inflable reutilizable llamado Airform. El acabado final es de 2-3 pulgadas de concreto de cemento por dentro y por fuera. Mano de obra y  materiales son disponibles a nivel local y económicos. Un Maestro mayor de obras con experiencia y los dibujos es todo lo que se necesita.

FONDOS DE INVERSIÓN se quedan en la comunidad o en forma de pago en la mano de obra y materiales, el fortaleciendo la economía de la zona. Las comunidades de CASAS CÚPULA han demostrado éxito, ya que elevan el nivel de vida de todos los que participan. Una comunidad de 200 viviendas nos llevan a la financiación de $ 10.000 USD por casa, traería la inversión de casi dos millones de dólares a la comunidad, proporcionando puestos de trabajo y vivienda. Dejando atrás empresas autónomas. El proyecto devuelve el capital al inversor, proporciona capital inicial para el próximo proyecto... y una buena relación.

Tiempo... La Tecnología crece rápidamente. Una CASA CÚPULA  tarda seis días para construir una casa con mano de obra local. Un proyecto de 400-500 hogares podría tener menos de nueve meses y emplear hasta 300 obreros locales durante todo este tiempo.

FUTUROS PROPIETARIOS... Es nuestra intención de emplear a muchos de nuestros futuros propietarios de nuestra comunidad. Sus nuevas habilidades les darán una mano, el potencial de ser empleados en un proyecto futuro y la posibilidad de ser propietarios de su nuevo hogar y la comunidad.

NUESTRA MISIÓN es traer a una vivienda asequible a los trabajadores del PERÚ a través de la construcción de las Casas Cúpulas de alta eficiencia...  transferir la
tecnología de construcción de las casas cúpulas y creación de negocios sostenibles e individuales y la perpetuación de la propiedad de la vivienda.
